Perfect movies to watch with kids this Christmas
Do you remember when we were kids how happy we were when our favorite Christmas movie was announced? Today is the day you know you'd watch it again without batting an eye, even knowing the ending, the plot, and even the dialogue, because we all get a whiff of nostalgia around this time.
To be honest, I have two movies that are a must-see in my house at Christmas, and I admit I like my kids to enjoy them. But since Christmas is so long, here are a few more so you can spend quality time with the little ones in your house:
Home alone
An all-time classic. Little Kevin McCallister's desire to stay home alone and his forgetfulness about his family before going on a trip unfold a series of adventures and misfortunes that, of course, teach the protagonist an important life lesson.

Nightmare Before Christmas
An attempt to improve Christmas leads Jack Skellington to kidnap Santa Claus and create a version of Christmas completely different from the one we know today. Only his girlfriend Sally is aware of everything and tries to warn him at all times.

The Grinch
We've all felt like this character at some point; everyone around us is preparing for Christmas with care and dedication, yet the Grinch hates it. This lonely and isolated character runs headlong into little Cindy Lou, who makes him stop and look beyond the materialism of Christmas and teaches him true values.

Klaus
A postman is sent to a frozen northern town, where he discovers Santa Claus is in hiding. Jesper, the worst student at the postal academy, is assigned to Smeerensburg, a frigid island beyond the Arctic Circle, where its conflicting inhabitants barely exchange words, let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in Alva, the town teacher. He also discovers Klaus, a mysterious carpenter who lives isolated in a cabin filled with handmade toys. These unlikely friendships will bring joy back to Smeerensburg, creating a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical legends, and stockings lovingly hung on the chimneys.

Polar Express
It's Christmas, and a boy strains to hear the jingle of Santa's sleigh bells. Just five minutes before midnight, a noise startles the boy: a gleaming black train pulls up in front of his house, taking him to the North Pole.

ET
A young alien from another planet is abandoned on Earth when his ship forgets him. He's completely alone and scared until nine-year-old Elliott finds him and decides to hide him in his house for protection. The boy and his siblings will try to find a way to return the alien to his planet before the scientists and the police find him.

The Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2
The film introduces us to two brothers who accidentally cause an accident on Santa's sleigh and join an adventure to save Christmas.

Mary Poppins
The story of a nanny who takes the children in her care on fantastic adventures. Her relationship with children, with nature, and her indifference toward the adult world lead us to wonder: Who is Mary Poppins, really? An ordinary nanny? A witch? A fairy?

Merry Madagascar
The most Christmassy version of Madagascar. Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria attempt to escape Madagascar and return to New York in a hot-air balloon they built. However, they are shot down by King Julien and his lemurs, who mistake them for the "Red Night Goblin." The four friends discover that the "night goblin" is none other than Santa Claus. Unfortunately, upon meeting Santa Claus, the group realizes the accident left Santa with amnesia, unaware of his responsibilities.
