¡Aprendiendo la hora desde primera hora!

Learning to tell time from the very beginning!

We'll show you how children can learn to tell time on the clock. What time is it? What time do we play? When do we go out for a bike ride? Is it time for snack time? Are we there yet?

I imagine that as parents you are used to the thousand and one questions that the little ones ask every day of the year and that no matter how many answers we give them, they come back to ask again and again.

The questions I get asked the most are always those when we're doing everyday things, like: Is it time to eat yet? What time do we go outside? Or, our favorite one, a Sunday at 7:00 in the morning: Is it time to get up and have breakfast? While a pair of eyes wake you up, almost collapsing from fright.

We've decided to teach children how to manage their time gradually and in a fun way. All this to ensure that this useful tool isn't an unpleasant experience.

1.- First, we told them how the day is divided so that they can always get acquainted with their usual activities: in the morning we get up, in the afternoon we have a snack...

2.- To start with the number puzzle, a good option is for them to wear a children's watch on their wrist and see how it works.

The hour and half-hour are always the easiest to learn. Then the quarter-hours, and finally the minutes. Little ones often get a little stuck on the left side of the clock ☺, but once they know all the above, they're so curious that they learn quickly.

Our little ones have been determined to learn the digital time, and we've taught them the trick of subtracting two numbers. For example, if it's 1:00 PM, subtract two from the number 3, and that's the time.

Little by little they are understanding how time works, they are becoming more aware of what is done at each moment of the day and on Sundays, although we still have “micro-infarcts” in the morning, with inquisitive eyes they know that it is too early for everything!!

At the end, the tables will be turned and you will be the ones to ask the questions.
