MOVEMBER- November with a Mustache
We're almost at the end of November, and we want to mention a movement that emerged a few years ago (in 2003, to go no further) in Australia, with the aim of raising awareness about men's health.
Movember, which gives its name to this movement, is a contraction of the English words "Mustache" and "November." Today, this movement has spread to dozens of countries, including Spain. It's an initiative through which men grow mustaches to help combat various health conditions. Furthermore, for years, various children's organizations have joined this cause to convey the importance of promoting healthy lifestyle habits.
Another reason for the initiative is to end physical inactivity by raising awareness worldwide about the importance of exercising to reduce risk and prevent health problems. Movember has had a profound impact on sports, as it's not the first time we've seen elite athletes sporting bushy mustaches during this significant month, taking advantage of media coverage at matches.
