SaveFamily collaborates with the Theodora Foundation

SaveFamily shows its most caring side and donates part of its profits to the Theodora Foundation.

  • The NGO makes 35,000 visits a year to hospitalized children.
  • In the last year, more than 340,000 hospitalizations of children under 15 have been recorded in Spain.
  • As part of this action, SaveFamily will give away a red nose with each of its smart watches.

April 16, 2024. In Spain, more than 340,000 hospitalizations of children under 15 have been recorded in the last twelve months, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics. Undoubtedly, ensuring these children recover their physical health is essential, but their mental well-being cannot be overlooked during the process.

SaveFamily, true to its commitment to child welfare, is clear about this, and has therefore decided to take a step forward and join forces with the Theodora Foundation to collaborate through donations and help preserve the emotional health of hospitalized children.

Specifically, the Theodora Foundation seeks to provide escape and play opportunities for children who, for various reasons, are hospitalized. This mission is carried out by the 28 Doctor Smiles who currently collaborate with the NGO and who make 35,000 visits each year to children admitted to 65 different hospitals and specialized centers.

Thus, SaveFamily wanted to collaborate with this foundation by making a donation that will bring laughter and good times to hospitalized children. Additionally, as a symbol of this great effort, the company will add a red nose to its shipments with each watch purchased, thus allowing all its customers to participate in some way.

However, this campaign will not affect the retail price of SaveFamily's popular smartwatches, which will remain the same. The goal: to continue offering a safe technological solution that allows parents to easily locate their children and provides them with a tool to accustom them to technology before giving them a phone.

"This initiative with the Theodora Foundation is aligned with our values, as we champion the importance of both physical and emotional well-being, without detracting from either," said Jorge Álvarez, CEO of SaveFamily.

In fact, "our own watches combine this duality, as on the one hand they protect the emotional well-being of children by allowing a safe first approach to the Internet , while functions such as geolocation or the SOS button allow us to preserve the integrity of minors," Jorge Álvarez concluded.
