A super fun sleepover!!
Well, well, well... We love sleepovers!!! Especially in winter, when there's no plan because the weather isn't good. It's an alternative way for children to experience their first sleepovers away from home, and to connect with them while having fun with our SaveFamily clocks, using audio and photos that you can save as a keepsake of their first sleepovers.
It's great to see the change in kids' faces when you mention a sleepover with dinner (which they like), popcorn, a movie, and if there's also decorations in the living room so everyone can sleep, they'll be amazed.
As for decor, the most basic idea is to put some mattresses in a large space where they can dine, watch movies, play, and sleep. An all-in-one space that, for the duration of the sleepover, will become their refuge. If we have the time and desire to put in the work on the decor, a great idea is to use teepees and garlands, a very trendy decoration that can be used for many things with children and that they love. Or a fort, which we've all made at some point in our lives or collaborated on, with blankets, pillows, and whatever we can find around the house that helps us create a cozy and fun space.
If we also want to make it more festive, we can encourage our little ones to make personalized invitations to give to the party members. It's a way to keep them entertained days before the party, and they'll do it with great enthusiasm.
Don't get carried away with dinner; it's probably very difficult to get all the kids right. The most common preparations are sandwiches, pizzas, potato omelets, croquettes... but if you're feeling brave, you can suggest they help you by making colored popcorn, chocolate popcorn, or just plain old popcorn in a pot and letting them see how it's made.
A magical night they won't forget and of course... they'll want to repeat!!
