The Valentine's Day Ribbon
Valentine's Day, that day of the year that generates controversy between the most affectionate people (let's leave it like that because if you keep reading you'll see why) and the most skeptical people (and this is where the "B" side makes its entrance)
Like a good game of tennis, chess, ping-pong, Battleship… this post aims to entertain and never to take sides (well, a little yes, but it's still the "B" side of the film).
Let's focus, since we're straying from the topic at hand: Valentine's Day. As you've noticed from the beginning, two ideas are going to be presented here. On the one hand, the more skeptical side, which promotes the idea that it's just another day on the calendar, a day to be ignored or glossed over. On the other hand, the glittery side, where all special events have their day and love should be celebrated in style! (Yes, here the more A-side contributes)
Side B: Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of love to give, to my children, my partner, parents, friends... but I still don't understand that part where hearts pop out of eyes like bubbles or that my kids leave school with a heart, when every day of the year we say goodbye with "I love you, don't mess things up at school" and we text each other through the clock every hour we're not together. And what do you say about that fast-food promotion where their main product now has a heart shape (seriously, it's not necessary). And if we continue with food... we go from mega-Christmas meals to eating chocolates, cookies, pastries, and all kinds of sweets with hearts... (now I'm craving chocolate, I don't know if it was a good idea to get into the food thing). In short, you might think I'm contradicting myself: How beautiful it is to love each other, well, beautifully, and all year round. Happy Valentine's Day!!
Side A: Love in all its facets is wonderful. The love you feel for your friends, your family, your little ones, and even self-love. Love is constantly present in our daily lives, but Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate it. There's a day for chocolate, so how could there not be one for love? It's a day to pamper your loved ones and yourself too. Treat your loved ones to a special treat, take a bubble bath to remind yourself how much you love each other, or send a message to your little one's watch telling them it's your Valentine. You can stand in front of the mirror and feel an instant crush, Narcissus-style, or shower your little ones with kisses.
As you can see (side A continues speaking), the SaveFamily team is sometimes polar opposite, but we work every day with great care and learning from each other.
Whether you celebrate it or not, every day... love is in the air! No matter which face you're on the movie.
